It is a mother's wish that first of all they see their children grow into happy adults. Secondly a mother wishes for their children to find a perfect partner! I don't think that is too much to ask for! And that this partner not only loves their child, but truly respects them as a person. And in fact is absolutely "crazy in love" with him or her. On Friday evening, I felt so happy for my baby girl! She had found the perfect partner. Not only did Scott love Ali, he respected her enough to include not only his family but ours as well in what could have been just "their" moment.
The symbol of the ring speaks so profoundly about the commitment forever! That moment that Scott proposed to Ali, I felt such a sense of happiness and contentment that the tears I had were out of sheer joy for Ali and Scott as well as our family. We were thrilled to have another son as well as an entire other family to share in this great bond!
I feel love for eternity is not too much to ask for your children to have! However, what I do know is that it is a wonderful gift that life has bestowed upon Scott and Ali. Finding that person who you not only have that "crazy" love for but to get it in return: priceless! That wonderful, crazy love will carry them through eternity!
Congratulations to Ali and Scott! Perhaps now, for this mother, I will dream that our family will continue to grow and provide a light to others that not only are families an important part of everyone's lives but that "crazy" love is a gift that life can provide for eternity!
